1. Ferry
Wuhan, a riverside modern metropolis, features ferry transportation and was once famous for ferry culture. It has 6 ferry lines:
(1) Wuzhong Line (from Wuhanguan Wharf to Zhonghua Road Wharf);
(2) Jizhong Line (from Jijiazui Wharf to Zhonghua Road No. 2 Wharf)
(3) Tianqing Line (from Tianxingzhou to Qingshan Wharf);
(4) Lingdian Line (from Wuhanguan Wharf to Zhonghua Road Wharf);
(5) Wuzhong Fast Line (from Wuhanguan Wharf to Zhonghua Road Wharf);

Visitors planning a sightseeing tour to Yangtze River Beach may get on board at Wuhanguan Wharf, Zhonghua Road Wharf, or Qingchuan Wharf during the daytime, or board a ship at Wuhanguan Wharf, Zhonghua Road No. 2 Wharf, Wangjiaxiang Wharf, Yuehan Wharf, or Hongxiang Wharf during the night.

2. (Electric) Buses
(Electric) buses in Wuhan have no conductors (except for buses of very few routes where manual ticketing is provided) and passengers are expected to prepare change or to use the "Wuhantong Smart Card", Alipay, or WeChat to make electronic payments.
3. Taxi
For a taxi of which the engine displacement is under 2.0L, the charge starts from RMB 10 for the first 3 kilometers and RMB 1.8 for each kilometer after that. For a taxi of which the engine displacement is above 2.0L, the charge starts from RMB 10 for the first 2 kilometers and RMB 2 for each kilometer after that. The passenger needs to pay 50% of total service charge as the non-occupancy surcharge if the distance is over 10 kilometers. For standing and waiting time, RMB 1 is additional charged every two and a half minutes if the speed is less than 12km/h. Road and bridge tolls are paid by the passengers. 4. Rail transportation
Wuhan rail transit network consists of 8 trunk lines and 3 intracity fast lines, covering a distance of 360 km and 240 stations in total. According to the Phase IV construction planning, a rail transit network made up of 10 trunk lines and 6 intracity fast lines will be built in Wuhan. The planned rail transit system is expected to cover a distance of 606 km and 324 stations in total.
Metro Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 6, Line 7, Line 8, Line 11, and Yangluo Line are currently in service. Line 1 is 37.76km long and covers 32 stations; Line 2 (including the Airport Link) is 60.72km long and covers 38 stations; Line 3 is 30.1 km long and covers 24 stations; Line 4 is 50.43km long and has 37 stations; Line 6 is 35.96km long and includes 27 stations; Line 7 (including Zhifang Line) is 47.55km long and covers 26 stations; Line 8 is 39.14km long and has 26 stations; Line 11 is 23.39km long and covers 14 stations; and Yangluo Line is 35km long and has 16 stations.
