Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is a 4F-class airport, one of the busiest civil airports in Chinese mainland, and a regional aviation hub designated by CAAC. It is capable of providing ground handling for super large aircraft like the Airbus A380. It is China's first integrated transportation hub where air transportation, intercity railway, subway, long-distance highway transportation, public transportation (including airport shuttle bus), taxis and general vehicles are integrated.
(1) Intercity railway: Passengers from Shiyan, Xiangyang, Suizhou and Xiaogan of Hubei Province may travel to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport via Wuhan-Shiyan High-speed Railway.
(2) Subway: It takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes for passengers to travel from Wuhan Railway Station to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport via Wuhan Metro Lines 4, 8 and 2. Passengers departing from Hankou Railway Station need to use Wuhan Metro Line 2 to arrive at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, which takes about 35 minutes. It takes about 1 hour to travel from Wuchang Railway Station to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport by way of Wuhan Metro Lines 4 and 2. (Wuhan Metro Line 2 leading to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is in service from 6:30 to 23:00)
(3) Airport shuttle bus: Shuttle buses leading to Gate 12, T3 Terminal, Wuhan Tianhe International Airport are in service at Wuhan Railway Station, Fujiapo Passenger Station, Qiaokou Yuexiu Fortune Center, Hankou Railway Station, Minhang New Village at Changqing Road, and the intersection of Hangkong Road and Jiefang Avenue. Shuttle buses departing from Wuhan Railway Station are available from 9:00 to 17:50. Shuttle buses travelling between Fujiapo Passenger Station and Wuhan Tianhe International Airport are in service from 8:00 and 16:00. Shuttle buses from Qiaokou Yuexiu Fortune Center to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport are in service from 7:00 to 17:00.
(4) Coach bus: Passengers from Xiangyang, Suizhou, Ezhou, Guangshui, Jingmen, Hong'an, Qichun, Luotian, Huangshi, Huangmei, Xiantao, Macheng, Tianmen, Yingcheng and Xianning in Hubei Province may take a coach bus at a local coach terminal to travel to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. Coach buses are usually in service from 05:30 to 18:00 (the service time of coach buses at some stations may be shortened due to seasonal factors). The service time is changed from "06:00-20:30" to "08:00-16:00”.
