        Overview of Wuhan

        Wuhan, one of China’s megacities, is the economic, cultural, commercial and financial center in Central China. The world's 3rd longest river, the Yangtze River, with its greatest branch, the Hanshui River, flow across the city and divide it into three parts, namely Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang. With a long history of more than 3,500 years, Wuhan enjoys a rich cultural heritage. It has an area of 8,569.2 square kilometers with abundant fresh water resources, and a resident population of 11,212,000, ensuring rich human resources.
